What you will be doing
This entry-level Constituent Relations position is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals who are eager to support the Governor's office while gaining valuable experience. In this role, you will primarily staff the Governor's Juneau reception desk, serving as the first point of contact for constituents and assisting them with their inquiries. When not at the reception desk, you'll work on a variety of tasks, including document management, processing mail, and familiarizing yourself with our CRM database. You'll also have the chance to work on special projects, allowing you to develop new skills and contribute meaningfully to our team's efforts. Benefits

This position is located on the third floor of the Capitol Building in downtown Juneau. Our daily working environment is fast-paced and teamwork oriented. There may be some overtime required depending on the time of year and office needs. Knowledge, skills and abilities
General understanding of proper telephone etiquette and customer service protocols. General knowledge of office procedures. Knowledge of office equipment including scanners, copiers, fax machines, printers, and Windows PC Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access. Good organizational skills. A courteous and professional demeanor; customer service experience is preferred. Ability to adapt and function independently and cooperatively in a professional, fast-paced working environment. Discretion and independent judgment in evaluating information and understanding the ramifications of actions taken. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to work independently and as part of an upbeat group. Ability to maintain confidential information. High school diploma or equivalent. Application materials
