About This Role We are seeking a CMM Programmer to join our Quality Lab team on first shift. This role focuses on inspecting metal stamped and machined parts at various production stages, ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
What You'll Do
Perform first piece, in-process, and receiving inspections using hand inspection tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
Measure parts to customer specifications and document inspection data
Communicate inspection results clearly to engineering, manufacturing departments, and customer technical personnel
Support Engineering, New Product Development, R&D, and Manufacturing departments with quality initiatives
Assist with contamination testing, gage R&R studies, and SPC capability studies
Support Quality Department activities including corrective actions, quality audits, training, PPAP, PFMEA, and customer complaint resolution
Learn to program and edit existing CMM programs
Required What We're Looking For
Experience using precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore micrometers, optical comparators)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong communication skills
Detail-oriented with commitment to quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with PC-DMIS software
CMM programming experience
SPC analytical experience (Minitab preferred)
