The Systems Administrator I is responsible for providing support for a variety of systems & network equipment. They will assist in the installation and configuration computer equipment, create technical support documentation for systems and applications, maintain the environment by identifying system requirements, installing upgrades, monitoring system performance & asset management. The individual will need to be familiar with Microsoft Server & Desktop OS, networking fundamentals, SCCM, asset management, VMWare, as well as backup and disaster recovery.

Location Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. This position is eligible to work at our office in Menasha, with hybrid opportunities available after training.

Hours 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday

Job Responsibilities

Routine patching services for operating systems & applications

Perform hardware installations, configuration, and upgrade tasks

Provide support on Microsoft Windows, computing hardware basic TCP/IP networking, antivirus applications, and standard practices of network security

Carry out internal support processes, aiding in asset tracking systems, software licensing, quality assurance for hardware configurations, and deployment

Troubleshoot hardware and software problems

Work with other technical specialists and vendors as necessary to resolve system and telecommunication problems

Recommend and contribute to the creation of process and/or modifications to client/server systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance

Incident management using ticketing system

Develop and maintain documentation library including but not limited to configurations, processes, daily tasks, upgrade plans, etc.

Develop process automation for routine tasks

Participate in disruptive/non-disruptive Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tests for our critical services

Provide Subject Matter Expertise, guidance, and assistance to Desktop Engineering including support of SCCM as required for imaging, application delivery, and patching

Infrastructure solutioning input for 1, 3, and 5-year technology roadmap planning

Collaborate with peers and IS leadership, and business fulfilling project, incident, and change requests

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements

Associate Degree in Computer Science (or related field) required, or at least 4 years work experience in an Information Technology Infrastructure role

2+ years Active Directory administration

2+ years Microsoft Server & Desktop OS administration.

2+ years SCCM experience

2+ years Networking fundamentals.

2+ years Asset management experience.

Related Experience Preferred:

2+ years O365 administration

2+ years Security vulnerability and remediation experience

2+ years backup and disaster recovery

2+ years VMWare server administration
