We are seeking a seasoned Oracle DBA to join the Web and Data Services team, focusing on both on-premise and cloud-based database environments.
This hands-on role involves development, delivery, and support of enterprise database systems, requiring strong technical expertise and collaboration across engineering, cloud, and architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead support for Oracle RAC databases across on-premise and cloud environments.
Build and deliver cloud infrastructure in AWS EC2, RDS, and Azure using industry-standard tools.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Oracle databases on Azure and AWS.
Administer Exadata and ZFS storage systems, including hardware and software setup.
Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Datapump, Snap, and Clones.
Perform regular database maintenance including backups, restores, archiving, and log reviews.
Monitor and troubleshoot database systems using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager and DataDog.
Support database migration and cloud operations across AWS, Azure, and OCI.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production stability and disaster recovery readiness.
Participate in 24x7 production support and manage high-availability database systems.
Apply Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban for task prioritization and delivery.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 12+ years of IT experience with progressive growth into technical leadership roles. Proven experience supporting Oracle RAC databases and cloud-based database systems. Strong expertise in Exadata, ZFS storage, and Oracle backup/recovery solutions. Hands-on experience with ControlM, Commvault, and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, uDeploy, Artifactory). Proficiency in Linux and AIX environments. Solid understanding of cloud provisioning, monitoring, and administration (AWS, Azure, OCI). Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on production stability. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams. Preferred Qualifications
