A long-standing and respected real estate management firm based in Danville, CA is seeking a Hands-On Facilities and Grounds Coordinator to join their growing team. This position offers an opportunity to support that mission by assisting with the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial sites. You will work closely with the Facilities Director to ensure each property remains safe, functional, and visually well-kept. The role combines hands-on maintenance, vendor coordination, and landscaping oversight to keep each location performing at its best. The ideal candidate is a proactive, dependable, and service-minded professional who takes pride in maintaining well-run, attractive properties while communicating effectively with tenants and internal teams.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $68,000 / year DOE

Responsibilities

Support the Facilities Director with the upkeep and maintenance of multiple nearby commercial properties

Conduct regular property inspections to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs

Oversee landscaping tasks, including seasonal planting and irrigation checks

Direct vendors and contractors during property visits and inspections

Perform light cleaning and basic repair work as needed to maintain property standards

Communicate with tenants on-site and relay updates to management

Accompany inspectors for safety, fire, or other regulatory checks

Assist with setup for occasional weekend events and ensure all systems are operational

Requirements

2–3+ years of experience in facilities, landscaping, or property maintenance

Must have commercial property experience

Working knowledge of irrigation, landscaping, and light maintenance

Basic plant knowledge for seasonal planting

Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and irrigation systems

Comfortable using mobile tools for reporting and photo documentation

Physically able to climb ladders, lift up to 40 lbs, and walk large sites

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Must have a vehicle suitable for transporting building supplies and tools

Understanding of safety inspections related to trip/fall or fire hazards

Self-starter who works independently and takes ownership of tasks

Excellent communication and follow-up skills
