The largest subsidiary of Silgan Holdings and a leading manufacturer of metal food containers in the US A company that strives toward sustainability by reducing our carbon footprint, selecting like-minded suppliers, and providing recyclable products What you’ll do: Provide consultation to all segments of Silgan Containers on quality issues and process performance Assist in the design, deployment and improvement of the SPC initiative and corporate quality plan Conduct quality systems audits and surveys Assist teams and individuals in the use and understanding of quality improvement tools Develop sampling plans and utilize existing conventional sampling plans for analysis Develop and draft inspection procedures and standard operating procedures Conduct product/process performance evaluations and machine/process capability studies Conduct measurement studies on new and existing measurement systems Initiate investigative studies of plant production and inspection data to improve process performance or remedy of quality production Initiate, develop and deliver training programs to raise quality consciousness Basic Requirements: Bachelors Degree – Engineering/Technical/Business Experience in Manufacturing/Quality – 3 or more years Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) ASQC Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) recommended Food Safety (GFSI) experience recommended Able to read, understand and develop standards, specifications and procedures Good mechanical aptitude Effective time management and project management skills Self-starter who recognizes and initiates process improvement efforts Excellent oral and written communications skills Ability to travel short-notice and approximately 50% of the time About the company
