Position Summary: The Park Manager is responsible for the management of programs, services, facilities, and personnel at a designated park location. This includes exercising independent judgment, working in an isolated condition without direct on-site supervision, and interacting with the community, public officials, and various city, state, and local officials.
The Park Manager is responsible for the daily operations of all activities at the designated park location, including monitoring on-site activities for compliance with agency policy and local and state laws. The position reports to a Regional or Sr Manager.

Design and implement recreational programs in core service areas such as aquatics, sports, and fitness. Develop and manage fiscal resources, contracts, and partnerships for the park. Oversee and coordinate a volunteer community park advisory council. Manage the recruitment, training, and professional development of personnel at the park location. Assess the recreational needs of the community and plan, design, implement, and evaluate programs and services. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and four years of managerial experience in Recreation or a related field are required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn computer applications, work productively under general supervision, and possess exceptional written and oral communication skills. Licenses/Certifications required: Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Teaching Certificate, Ellis and Associates Lifeguard License, either a CPO or AFT certification for pool operation, Indiana Public Passengers Chauffeurs License, NYSCA Clinician Certification, and CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) preferred. Working Conditions
Park Managers are assigned to a park location as a primary work location and may work holidays, weekends, and evenings. Travel to various locations for work-related activities may be required. Physical Conditions
Sitting at a desk for the majority of the day. Some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Equal Employment Opportunity
