Overview Systems Engineer - FBM Early Career Rotation Program

Lockheed Martin invites ambitious Systems Engineers to become a member of the System Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Team and join our Early Career Rotation Program (SEIT-ECRP). The FBM SEIT-ECRP is a 3‑year program consisting of four rotations, each 9 months long, designed to develop both technical and leadership skills in early‑career engineers. Participants pursue rotations within the SEIT directorate and beyond, mentor‑guided development, and a personalized rotation plan.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, integrate, and test FBM systems.

Execute technical tasks aligned with FBM mission and strategic deterrence requirements.

Engage in project management activities to support SEIT business objectives.

Maintain and interpret technical documentation, test data, and system assessments.

Participate in professional development workshops and mentorship meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field (e.g., computer science, applied physics, mathematics).

Strong interest in systems engineering, systems‑level thinking, and FBM mission.

Demonstrated learning agility to quickly integrate with a team and learn new skills.

Solid analytical, writing, and oral communication skills; proficient presentation abilities.

Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Skills

Interest in developing subject matter expertise and/or project/program leadership.

Strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently.

Knowledge of computer languages such as MATLAB, C++, or Python.

Knowledge of Agile development and JIRA.
