Systems Engineer - FBM Early Career Rotation Program

Over 60 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy’s mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and requires expertise to deliver new technologies while maintaining technical requirements of strategic deterrence.
Lockheed Martin seeks ambitious Systems Engineers for the System Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Team as part of its Early Career Rotation Program (SEIT-ECRP). Candidates may have 0 to 4 years of experience; both entry‑level and existing early‑career roles are available.
The SEIT‑ECRP is a three‑year program with four rotations (typically nine months each), designed to develop technical and leadership skills. Participants will rotate within the SEIT directorate and beyond, working with mentors, and will exit the program with strengthened technical background, leadership and project management skills, and a comprehensive network of mentors within Lockheed Martin Space and the FBM SEIT organization.
Location: King of Prussia, PA. Participants may rotate across teams in the FBM Systems Engineering organization, with possible rotations in adjacent teams within the FBM Programs.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (e.g., computer science, applied physics/mathematics).
Strong interest in systems engineering, systems‑level thinking, and FBM mission.
Demonstrated learning agility to quickly integrate with a team and learn new skills.
Solid analytical, writing, and oral communication skills with proficient presentation skills.
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills
Interest in developing subject matter expertise and/or project/program leadership.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Knowledge of computer languages such as MATLAB, C++, or Python.
Knowledge of Agile development and JIRA.
