We are seeking a skilled
Network Engineer
to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure team, focusing on the implementation and management of SD-WAN solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge networking technology, ensuring our network infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. If you have a passion for innovative network solutions and a strong understanding of network architecture, infrastructure, hardware, and software, as well as knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols, we would love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Collaborates with leadership and team members
Participates in team planning and review sessions using Mascoma Bank’s Hike workflow
Maintains and enhances computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations
Protects data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
Performs disaster recovery operations and data backups when required
Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, software, and other network and system problems
Continuously monitors and maintains network performance
Adheres to and upholds all written policies and procedures of Mascoma Bank, including BSA/CIP and OFAC monitoring and reporting, security, operation, and personnel policies
Work Location This position can be performed hybrid out of our Operations Center in White River Junction, VT.
What You Bring
Experience consistent with 5+ years of network engineering, with a demonstrated expertise in routing and switching required
Experience with Juniper hardware and software required
Experience with SD-WAN implementations and management desired
Experience with Palo Alto desired
Experience with AWS networking desired
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
Ability to implement, administrate, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and controllers
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems
Network security experience
Must have strong documentation skills
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to work autonomously, stay on timeline, and participate in frequent team meetings
Passion for learning new things and applying them to create a better product
Ability to communicate effectively with other team members
Mentor junior team members to build upon skill sets
Willingness to ask for and accept help when needed, as well as graciously provide help when asked
Must maintain confidentiality and privacy
