About this Role
The Investment Associate, Global Health Investing, supports the global health private equity investment strategy. This role involves transaction diligence, modeling, execution, and monitoring. The associate will build relationships with co-investors, entrepreneurs, and strategics to access deal flow, help with deal execution, and drive exits. In their key accountabilities, the associate will support the execution of direct investments in global health companies, conducting due diligence, investment analysis, and financial modeling for fund, pipeline, and portfolio companies. They will leverage existing manager relationships to build a co-investment universe and help find, screen, and rank pipeline opportunities. Additionally, the associate will be involved in sourcing, meeting management, due diligence, database maintenance, valuation exercises, reporting, analysis, and investment recommendations. The role also requires interfacing with third-party service providers relating to due diligence and deal execution, as well as liaising with internal stakeholders including risk, compliance, legal, operations, and audit. The associate will play a role in coordinating projects in the impact investing team, focusing on new product development, process improvement, system implementation, and portfolio management. Responsibilities
Support direct investments in global health companies. Conduct due diligence, investment analysis, and financial modeling. Build relationships with co-investors, entrepreneurs, and strategics. Screen and rank pipeline opportunities. Manage portfolio through internal analysis and working relationships. Interface with third-party service providers for due diligence and deal execution. Liaise with risk, compliance, legal, operations, and audit teams. Coordinate projects in the impact investing team, including process improvement and system implementation. Requirements
Private Equity/Venture Capital/Investment analyst or associate experience. Track record of supporting private equity deals through execution. Experience in building sophisticated financial models and valuation techniques. Preferable experience in the impact investment sector and emerging markets. Familiarity with medical device/pharmaceutical/vaccine clinical and regulatory pathways. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to travel. Self-starter with an ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Highly numerical and analytical with relevant scientific University degree. Benefits
