In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with underwriting, actuarial, claims, and regulatory teams to draft, review, and enhance insurance policies, endorsements, and related forms. Your expertise will ensure that our product offerings are legally sound, compliant with applicable regulations, and aligned with market trends. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of management liability, professional liability and general liability products and the legal and regulatory nuances that impact their development and deployment.**Key Responsibilities*** **Policy Drafting & Review:** Draft, review, and amend insurance policies, endorsements, and related documents to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with underwriting intent.* **Product Development Collaboration:** Work closely with underwriting and product development teams to create and refine insurance products, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory standards.* **Competitive Analysis:** Analyze competitor insurance policies to provide insights and recommendations for product enhancements and differentiation.* **Training & Guidance:** Provide training and guidance to underwriting, claims, and other internal teams on policy language, coverage intent, and regulatory requirements.* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, actuarial, claims, and regulatory teams, to support product development initiatives.* **Continuous Improvement:** Contribute to continuous improvement strategies to position the company as a technical leader in the underwriting domain.**Qualifications*** **Education:** Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.* **Experience:**
+ 5+ years of experience in insurance law, with a focus on product development, underwriting, or claims.
+ Demonstrated expertise in management liability, professional liability and general liability is required.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
