Procedure Assistant

to join our team. As a Procedure Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining high standards of patient care. Your role will involve assisting our X-Ray Technology team during exams, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and sterile. With a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, you'll work closely with our X-Ray, Administrative and other teams to ensure a positive patient experience. You’ll demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll interact with patients, physicians, and team members regularly. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes and ensuring their comfort. Assist in the setup, preparation, and maintenance of sterile supplies, trays, and fluoroscopy equipment for procedures. Help healthcare professionals with fluoroscopy procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Clean, organize, and restock fluoroscopy rooms, ensuring they are always ready for use. Manage patient flow, assist with the completion of medical forms, and ensure proper documentation. Provide reassurance to patients during procedures, offering reassurance and answering questions, help with patient position, monitor timers, conduct pain checks, and provide post care instructions. Uphold patient confidentiality adhering to privacy and safety protocols. Contribute to the maintenance and inspection of medical equipment. Support injection/UGI procedures, completing exams and provide Radiologist with finished cases. Ensure the next day’s worklist is accurate and appointments are scheduled correctly. Maintain and order departmental supplies. Collaborate with clinicians on any additional tasks related to patient care and procedures as needed. What We’re Looking For

Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in procedural support, is preferred. Medical terminology knowledge is an asset. A proactive and empathic approach to patient care, with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage patient flow, preparation, and post-care instructions in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and collaborating with colleagues. Proven efficiency in preparing procedure rooms, organizing supplies, and assisting during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The ability to maintain and inspect medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness and functionality. A willingness to step outside the role's scope when necessary to support team needs. Adherence to privacy, health and safety, quality, and integrity standards. Proficiency with various software programs and digital tools, including Microsoft Office, and adaptability to new technologies. A commitment to professional development and staying informed on advancements in procedural assistance and patient care. What We Offer

This is a full-time opportunity with an anticipated start date of January 6 th , 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily at our Northtown clinic, with flexibility for assignment to other clinics as needed to ensure patient care needs are met across our locations.
