We are looking for an associate with 3–6 years of M&A experience at a reputable investment bank or boutique. The Corporate Finance M&A role provides hands-on transaction experience across industries and deal sizes, with a majority involving cross-border deals. You will collaborate with global team members on analysis, financial modeling, negotiation, sourcing, and management of M&A and advisory transactions for ING’s clients, including financial sponsors and corporates. ING Corporate Finance advises on M&A transactions, including buy-side and sell-side deals, strategic advisory assignments, and capital raisings. The team serves ING’s client base across various sectors, with a focus on transportation and infrastructure, food and agriculture, energy, telecom, media and technology. Corporate Finance is a growing M&A platform in New York that is part of a global team with offices in London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Brussels, Frankfurt, Manila, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Corporate Finance team is part of the Capital Markets & Advisory (CMA) group, which offers an Early Career Program to develop junior talent in core and client-facing areas of ING’s Capital Markets and Advisory business. During the program, participants gain hands-on experience in Corporate Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Distributions and Acquisition Finance. Responsibilities

Work within the Corporate Finance M&A team in New York with a focus on originating and executing M&A deals, strategic advisory assignments, and capital-raising transactions Assist in origination of new business opportunities by preparing and delivering client presentations, conducting sector and company research, and preparing briefing packages for internal and external use Support execution efforts on transactions and assist the team in ensuring timely and successful closings, working directly with senior team members Prepare compelling pitches and presentations and create comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses Act as a point of learning for Analysts and proactively monitor the quality and accuracy of their output Represent ING professionally at site visits, management presentations and client meetings and begin to build relationships with market counterparties Actively participate in client meetings to build business insight and interpersonal skills Contribute to revenue targets and assist in meeting the global budget Respond to information requests from the Global Corporate Finance platform related to companies in North America Liaise with colleagues in other CM&A departments to deliver integrated solutions to ING’s clients Maintain close ties with relevant product and sector teams within ING, including Sector Coverage, Acquisition Finance, Corporate Investments, Loan Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and Sustainable Finance Qualifications and competencies

Associates have 3 to 6 years of M&A experience at a reputable investment bank or boutique. Successful candidates have hands-on M&A experience, high energy, strong commercial drive, attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a team setting, and the ability to represent the team well both internally and externally. Strong interest in M&A and knowledge of M&A and advisory processes Proficiency in valuation and financial modeling with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it clearly Initiative, proactive communication, and ability to ask questions when needed Perseverance, creativity, and high attention to detail Willingness to go above and beyond for the team and client objectives Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently Strong communication skills Aspiring to mentor and train more junior team members Series 7 or 79, and 63 registrations held or to be obtained soon Salary Range: $140,000–$200,000 Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, a generous 401(k) plan, and competitive PTO, plus additional programs such as adoption, surrogacy, and fertility services; student debt assistance; and subsidies for commuting and fitness.
