Our bank client seeks a Credit Analyst in Des Plaines, IL. The role involves analyzing financial statements and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of commercial credit requests, identifying and mitigating key risks. The analyst will present findings and recommendations in concise reports focusing on cash flow, repayment ability, collateral, and loan structure. Ongoing reviews of existing commercial borrowers' financial conditions are also required. This position offers a salary up to $85K and a benefits package.
(This is not a remote position). Responsibilities include: Preparing detailed credit analyses for commercial loans to facilitate approval processes. Analyzing complex credits considering income, margins, trends, management quality, market share, industry risks, and collateral. Creating loan presentations for the commercial loan committee. Assisting lenders in evaluating credit proposals and structuring loans appropriately. Grading new and existing loans. Preparing financial projections and stress tests. Presenting financial information to the loan committee and participating in loan decisions. Conducting audits on commercial loans, documenting credit exceptions, and maintaining a list of ongoing exceptions. Analyzing participations and presenting findings to the loan committee. Administering LaserPro software, including weekly interest rate updates. Supporting document imaging and tracking, reviewing commercial appraisals. Maintaining a list of loans to be funded. Ideal skills and experience include: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or specialized financial analysis training (preferred). Five or more years of experience as a Credit Analyst. Experience preparing credit presentations. Ability to manage and track annual credit reviews. Thorough knowledge of lending, loan review, banking regulations, procedures, and operations. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial statements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
