Responsibilities
Manage the full scope of accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end closing.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Ensure proper posting, balancing, and analysis of general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Oversee accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation, and cost of sales analysis.
Prepare budgets and assist management with financial and tax reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting and payment of county property tax, sales tax, city tax, and tonnage reports for California and Ohio.
Support annual audits and respond to auditors.
Conduct regular inventory analysis and reconciliation.
Manage inventory control processes and ensure accurate cost accounting.
Prepare consigned inventory reports and maintain financial reporting setups within Dynamics 365 Business Central (or equivalent system).
Collaborate with software consultants to resolve system or reporting issues.
Utilize Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, filtering, sorting, data downloads) to prepare and analyze data.
Compile and prepare special financial reports for sales and management programs.
Calculate and track sales commissions.
Prepare and support documentation for the annual bank audit.
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
4+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a small or mid‑sized manufacturing business environment, with proven knowledge of full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or equivalent ERP system) and strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, data sorting/filtering).
Experience managing compliance and multi‑jurisdictional reporting (California & Ohio preferred).
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Salary Range: $90‑100k
