Overview

We are a specialized insurance program administrator serving the human services sector, including nonprofits, social service agencies, and behavioral health organizations. Our mission is to support those who serve others by delivering tailored insurance solutions with excellence and care.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Underwriting Assistant to support our Human Services Program. This role is ideal for a proactive insurance professional with a background in commercial lines who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

How You'll Make An Impact

Assist underwriters with processing new business, renewals, and endorsements in accordance with company guidelines. Review and verify application data for completeness and accuracy. Communicate with agents and brokers to gather missing information or clarify submissions. Input and maintain policy data in underwriting and policy management systems. Prepare quote proposals, binders, and other underwriting documentation. Support compliance with internal underwriting procedures and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the underwriting and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate processing.

About You

2+ years of experience in commercial insurance, preferably in an underwriting or processing role. Familiarity with property & casualty insurance lines, especially as they relate to human services or nonprofit sectors, is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with agency management or underwriting systems. Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Preferred

Experience working with program business or MGA operations. Understanding of the unique risks associated with human services organizations. Commercial lines rating experience. Human services experience
