New Business Development - Automotive Software Remote/Field: To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following locations: Kansas City, MO; St Louis, MO; Topeka, KS; or Wichita, KS. CDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to dealerships and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) across automotive and related industries. The company’s cloud-based, software as a service (SaaS) platform enables dealerships to manage end-to-end business operations including the acquisition, sale, financing, insuring, repair, and maintenance of vehicles. By automating and streamlining critical workflows, the integrated platform of modern solutions enables dealers to sell and service more vehicles and improves their financial and operational performance. Position Summary The Account Development Executive for our Small Dealer Services team creates business relationships in competitive accounts selling CDK’s DRIVE bundled solution. In this role you will grow market share through conquest sales, selling to Franchise Dealers with 2 sites or less. You will work with channel partners to increase sales opportunities in CDK strategic products in conquest accounts and achieve the annual assigned sales plan under the guidance of Sales Leadership. Responsibilities
Uncover dealer prospect needs and challenge clients to maximize their business results by embracing CDK solutions. Conduct consistent sales calls. Perform 80% face-to-face interactions with dealerships. Travel up to 80% (overnight travel may be required; territory-dependent) to penetrate markets. Communicate daily with channels and management; participate in monthly conference calls with the Sr. Director of Sales. Engage in the solution sales process and manage overall account relationships. Close business and achieve the assigned annual quota. Ensure competitors do not penetrate accounts. Analyze data, including total dealer spend, and assimilate product and technology knowledge to configure and quote solutions. Maximize resources by engaging the full breadth of CDK channel partners. Gain quick access to key decision makers. Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in B2B technology or solution sales preferred Automotive industry experience Ability to travel 80% of the time, Monday – Friday Ability to overcome objections easily Experience with consultative solution selling to align client’s business needs with a solution Experience in negotiating and closing sales opportunities Experience with developing and managing a sales territory Self-driven, persistent, ambitious, and highly motivated Excellent communication, listening, and questioning skills Microsoft Office & CRM PC Skills Salary and Benefits
Salary: $75,000 + Uncapped Commissions CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
