Overview
Sunoco LP is a growth company which operates within three business segments: Fuel Distribution, Pipelines Systems, and Terminals.
Fuel Distribution:
Largest independent fuel distributor in the U.S., distributing over 8 billion gallons of fuel a year across more than 40 states. We distribute fuel to more than 7,400 Sunoco and partner branded locations and additional independent dealers and commercial customers.
Pipelines Systems:
Network of over 14,000 miles of pipelines, distributing crude oil, refined products, renewable fuels, ammonia, and specialty liquids.
Terminals:
Over 100 fuel terminals in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico.
Summary Sunoco LP is looking for an Accountant to join our ALOHA Accounting team in Dallas, TX. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The ALOHA Accounting team performs daily accounting and analysis for all fuel inventory and sales for this segment of our business. The essential duties of this position are designed to ensure that purchase, sales and inventory activities are captured accurately.
Managing the daily processes of tasks assigned, and responding to and resolving any issues quickly with a sense of urgency and satisfactorily
Developing and maintaining relationships with internal counterparts as well as external customers
Relentless focus and commitment to ensuring consistent on-time payment to external vendors, on time collection from external customers, and quick identification and resolution of any issues to eliminate any aging payables and receivables in the system
Effectively analyzes financial results, and provides supporting details and insights that contribute to the success of the company

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Excel required
Sound understanding of accounting practices and principles
General Ledger experience including manual journal entries and problem solving using t-accounts
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with PDI, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, or Robotic Process Automation tools is a plus
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
The Associate Accountant/Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience
The Accountant/Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
Working Conditions
Usually, normal office working conditions
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing
Occasional overnight travel may be required
