Eligibility for benefits may vary by location. We are seeking an Assistant Controller to administer general accounting practices in adherence with corporate accounting policy (APG) and internal audit guidelines, interpret data, and prepare financial analyses of operations for the guidance of management. Responsibilities: Implement transformational system and process improvements for the Research accounting functions. Provide leadership and oversight of the monthly close process for all entities. Ensure that accounting for business transactions conforms to Company policies and procedures. Assist in the preparation, coordination, review, and compilation of the capital and operating budgets for all entities. Identify and maintain documentation of key accounting control processes and procedures. Respond to requests for information from Corporate, Internal Audit, Corporate Tax, Group/Division management, and other internal management. Oversee the activities of assigned staff, ensure they are providing reporting excellence in terms of customer service, timeliness, and quality of deliverables, and provide coaching and direction as required. Manage, develop, and train direct reports and their assigned staff. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Required: Accounting experience in hospital fiscal services. Required: Three years at supervisory level. Preferred: Fixed Asset experience. CPA preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Must manifest problem-solving abilities and decisive leadership. Professional accounting skills. Computer skills as well as verbal and communication skills. Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail. Good organizational skills, ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions, and demonstrates good customer relations and analytical skills.
