Job Summary Primarily sales position with a strong emphasis on customer service, meeting goals and achieving results. The Leasing position manages the sales process from start to finish, presenting the communities enthusiastically to prospective residents by communicating the value of residence at the assigned property.
Duties/Responsibilities
Perform leasing of apartment units to prospective residents by communicating the value of residence at the property.
Use adopted technologies and processes to generate traffic and complete market surveys.
Respond to phone and email inquiries, apply sales techniques to schedule tours.
Contact apartment locators and current residents for referrals.
Shop other properties to survey competition and learn new closing techniques.
Greets prospective residents and completes a guest card for each.
Refer prospective residents to another Lynd property if unable to locate the desired unit.
Use closing techniques to get the lease.
Meet with prospective residents, check unit availability, qualify prospects on type, size, price, and amenities.
Collect required information, complete forms, screen with RealPage OneSite, maintain files.
Notify applicants of approval or disapproval, assist with lease agreements, collect rent and deposits.
Assist new residents with move‑in, walk units before arrival, take maintenance requests, monitor property, call back for maintenance order, contact expiring leases to propose renewals.
Help plan and direct social activities and maintain a friendly workplace attitude.
Abide by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) leasing duties.
Skills/Abilities
Familiar with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws concerning multi‑family housing and Fair Housing.
Customer service and conflict resolution skills.
Sales knowledge and ability to sell products and services.
Strong verbal, written, and concise communication.
Organizational skills to maintain records and schedules.
Ability to visually inspect units, grounds, and other aspects to determine adherence to standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and RealPage OneSite.
Maintain confidentiality and appropriate discretion.
Qualifications And Experience
High school diploma/GED and 1‑3 years of experience in leasing, sales, and/or customer service required.
