What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Develop and maintain spending plans for divisions, determining fund sourcing and timing of expenditures Meet with division leadership monthly to track expenditures and forecast future spending Assist in the development of the agency's annual budget request, reviewing and making recommendations Act as budget approver in the budgeting system and troubleshoot errors in budget loading Assist in the creation and implementation of budget policies and procedures What is Required (Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, public administration, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in governmental budgeting, public finance, or a related area Knowledge of budgeting procedures, data analysis, and statistical methods Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and MS Office Excellent oral and written communication skills How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Two or more years of experience in governmental budgeting, public finance, or a related area
