Cost Accountant role at Parker Hannifin Location: Olive Branch, MS (as noted in the original posting); review required for current posting status. Position Summary

Month-end accounting duties including journal voucher completion, account reconciliation, variance analysis, and reports/statement preparation. Standard cost development, monthly variance application calculation, and LIFO reporting. Responsibilities

Responsible for inventory control for plant(s) using work orders and repetitive shop floor controls. Take lead in coordinating annual physical inventory and reconciles book to physical differences. Develop and maintain written procedures/work-instructions for division cost accounting duties. Maintain standard costs for all part numbers; develop and enter standard costs for new or redesigned parts or Engineering Changes Notices (ECNs). Develop and maintain ongoing audits of standard costs, work centers, and routing codes; review new routings to ensure correct structure to be costed. Review frozen standard cost files for updates to support LIFO; manage and communicate updates as dictated by cost changes. Perform monthly closing activities; analyze manufacturing variances; produce financial schedules. Participate in quote review process. Assist in preparation of departmental budgets and forecasting. Participate on continuous improvement/cost reduction teams. Qualifications

2-5 years division accounting experience. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. SAP experience is required. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Employment Details
