Join Mattress Warehouse as a Financial Controller to lead accounting operations and drive financial success in the fast‑growing bedding retailer. Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Ensure compliance with GAAP and all regulatory financial standards. Monitor and enforce internal controls to protect company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, preparing accurate and timely financial statements. Coordinate annual audits with external auditors and ensure smooth audit process. Oversee physical inventory process at stores and warehouses, ensuring accuracy and accountability. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring consistency. Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering growth and continuous improvement. Qualifications

Hybrid position; alternate weeks in office and remote. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. CPA or equivalent certification required. At least 10 years of experience in financial management or accounting, including 5+ years as a Controller in multi‑unit retail or similar leadership position. Large‑scale ASC 842 experience for private companies required. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proven experience in GL functions, month‑end/year‑end close, and preparation of financial statements. Experience with purchase accounting preferred. Leadership experience with ability to manage a team and collaborate with other departments. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Storis a plus. Knowledge of IRS partnership accounting is a plus. Benefits
