State of Idaho Opportunity. The Idaho State Liquor Division (ISLD) team is seeking a full-time
Financial Specialist . The ideal candidate will assist with various professional financial duties requiring application of accounting, auditing, and budgeting principles and practices; performing related work. The position is located at our central office in Boise, ID. Applications will be accepted through 4:59 PM MST on the posting end date. Address: 1349 E Beechcraft Ct, Boise, ID 83716. Key Responsibilities
Reviewing and approving accounts payable batches Performing closing procedures for banking, sales, inventory, and accounts payable in the agency’s accounting system Cash Control and General Ledger Balancing Performing account and system reconciliations Processing and recording lottery sales Preparing financial statements and variance analysis Maintaining and updating lease payments Preparing and submitting Risk Management reports Acting as agency liaison with numerous entities e.g., State Treasurer, State Controller, Contractors, Landlords Minimum Qualifications
Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices Desirable Qualifications
Experience with the statewide Luma ERP system Experience with Business Intelligence tools About Us
The ISLD seeks motivated and upbeat individuals to join our $325M state-operated enterprise comprised of 170 retail outlets and 450 associates throughout Idaho. The mission of the ISLD is to provide control over the importation, distribution, sale, and consumption of distilled spirits; curtail intemperate use of beverage alcohol, and responsibly optimize the net revenues to the citizens of Idaho. The ISLD is projected to distribute ~$1.5 billion to Idaho state, cities, and counties over the next 10 years! Benefits
