Overview
Job Title : Associate Property Manager, Multifamily Association Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They are also responsible for building and motivating high performing teams to maximize the performance of the property.
Responsibilities
Assisting the Regional Property Manager with the overall operations of the building.
Ensuring the smooth running of our community in a fast-paced environment.
Overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, audits, etc.
Providing superior customer service and communication to our residents and prospects to enhance customer satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.
Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards.
Track and evaluate advertising, and all client traffic.
Lead by example, instilling, maintaining, and modeling the Cushman & Wakefield mission to be the best national management company.
Supervise day-to-day operations of on-site team, ensuring that all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are being followed.
Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as necessary.
Maintain residents' files in accordance with company standards.
Maintain a positive living environment for community residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow-up.
Manage and maintain all aspects of overall community budget and finances.
Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met.
Competencies
Effective communication and customer service skills
Computer literate, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation skills
General office, bookkeeping and sales skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
Determine leasing opportunities of staff and work on goal setting; improving the performance of each staff member
Supervise day-to-day operations of team, ensuring that all Cushman & Wakefield policies and procedures are being followed
Work with leasing staff to ensure that leasing/marketing goals are being met
Ability to manage a team
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned
Education
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required
Experience
3+ years of Property Management experience
1+ years of Management experience
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and may require travel between properties in varying weather conditions.
Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. They may need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend/descend staircases, ladders, or step stools, and travel between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. The employee may also be required to remain stationary for long periods and operate office machinery.
