This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek.**Job Type**Unclassified**Department**Legal Advocate**About the Position*****Come be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced legal team as a Legal Support Supervisor at the Office of the Legal Advocate.***In the role of a Legal Support Supervisor for the Legal Advocate Dependency Unit, you will be responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and supervising the activities of specialized records support positions as well as our dependency legal secretary.
You will be tasked with ensuring adherence to case information quality standards, deadlines, and procedures.

This defined retirement benefit requires a 12% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1* Learn more at**We Require*** Five years of experience in a legal setting with knowledge in legal preparations or legal proceedings* High school diploma or GED**We Also Value*** Associate’s degree* Prior experience in a supervisory, lead or back-up supervisory role* Prior experience working in an indigent representation office* Experience using case management systems (JuNe/iCIS)**Job Contributions*** Supervise a staff of legal secretaries and justice system clerks, including recruiting, training, monitoring, and evaluating performance* Ensure adequate support staff coverage through responsible scheduling* Provide administrative and records support for the dependency unit* Ensure staff are adequately prepared to interpret complex case data so information is consistently conveyed, and case management system is accurately updated* Collaborate with dependency supervisors and the Law Office Administrative Manager to resolve process issues and develop effective procedures for managing case flow and data entry* Develop, implement, and modify workflow processes to improve production. Resolve process concerns by assessing assignments/issues and adjusting priorities in accordance with departmental goals* Access and interpret information from office and court case management systems in order to answer inquiries* Assist the dependency appeals attorney with drafting, editing, formatting, and filing of appeals and special actions* Complete various activity reports or other special projects**Working Conditions*** Traumatic subject matters (crime scenes, accidents, etc.), frequent interruptions, time pressures, high volumes of work, and handling multiple, complicated, unscheduled, and frequently changing tasks.
