In the Staff Accountant position, you will assist with recording and monitoring the day‑to‑day finances of our growing company, as well as managing portions of the company balance sheet.
We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to help record and reconcile monthly transactions. Our team is looking forward to the future of Saela as we continue to grow and advance in the pest control industry.
This is a full‑time, in‑office position , and you will be working in our corporate office located in Orem, UT.

What to Expect: As a Staff Accountant, you will:
Record Daily Transactions
Enter credit card purchases and checking account transactions into NetSuite.
Upload and categorize receipts or backup documentation.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation
Match daily transactions to bank and credit card statements.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies quickly.
Monitor and Reconcile Key Balance Sheet Accounts
Track and reconcile balances for Intercompany accounts, Inventory, and Fixed Assets.
Maintain accurate schedules and supporting documentation for these accounts.
Customer Payment & Revenue Reconciliation
Monitor daily customer payments (e.g., credit card, ACH, wire).
Match payments to invoices and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
Support Month‑End Close
Assist with journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, and other recurring entries.
Help ensure all expenses and revenue are recorded in the correct period.
Fixed Assets Tracking
Record new asset purchases and disposals.
Update depreciation schedules monthly.
Internal Process Support
Help implement or improve accounting procedures and controls.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Sales) to clarify financial information or resolve issues.
Ad‑Hoc Projects and Reports
Run financial reports as needed (e.g., transaction detail, aging reports).
Support requests from finance leadership or external auditors.
Qualifications:
Worked in or studied finance or accounting (degree preferred)
Microsoft Office experience, especially Excel (required)
You must be able to complete and pass an MS Excel test
Excellent communication and math skills (required)
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) is a plus
Excellent time management skills
The ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks is important to your success
