Specific Responsibilities Responsible to set up appointments in order to interview and counsel applicants to determine economic indigence for eligibility for available services. Registers and maintains client record in computer data file and electronic health record. Collects, registers, verifies, and inputs all pertinent client information in all systems modules: Client Registration, review of Family Financials, verification of Insurance Information, and recording of CSRs with accuracy. Answers the telephone, schedule client appointments, reschedules and/or follows up missed appointments by phone or text, and makes reminder phone calls if necessary. Secures translation assistance for patients needing our services.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Always promote customer service excellence through “patient first” approach at all times. Assures that customers are treated with respect and courtesy and dissatisfied customers are afforded the opportunity to discuss their concerns. Working knowledge operating computers, photocopy machine, calculators, cash register, printers, scanners, and all related equipment required by position.
Qualifications Minimum One year of customer service experience or call center experience.
Preferred One or more years of experience using i.e. HMS, Dentrix, Careware, FMMIS and Solution Reach. Experience dealing with HMO or third-party insurance for Medicare and Medicaid and working on Department of Health's Electronic Health Record Systems. Experience scheduling appointments in the medical or dental field.
