About the Role The CHA cost estimating team delivers accurate cost consulting services to owners, architects, and construction managers. The Cost Estimator II will execute high‑quality, detailed cost estimates, present estimates to clients, mentor team members, and pursue new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Execute detailed cost estimates in a timely, cost‑effective manner.
Understand clients’ needs, meet expectations, and follow up on issues.
Communicate clearly with clients, partners, management, and colleagues.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.
Foster business development and pursue new opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of construction cost estimating emphasizing site issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Familiarity with AutoDesk software (plus).
Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and value‑engineering practices.
Ability to read and interpret design documents; perform quantity takeoffs.
Strong analytical skills and accurate cost estimating.
Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and teamwork.
Positive, action‑oriented mindset.
Salary Range $80,000 – $93,000 (variable based on experience and qualifications)
