for our property management portfolio. Accurately posting all rents, owner contributions, and vendor invoices. Overseeing and managing all trust accounting functions, including owner funds, tenant deposits, and security deposit returns. Performing all necessary bank and trust account audits, including monthly three-way reconciliations (bank balance, trust ledger, and owner/tenant ledgers). Processing owner draws, security deposit returns, vendor disbursements, and preparing accurate owner financial statements and cash flow reports. Ensuring strict compliance with all California trust accounting laws and regulations, including those set by the Department of Real Estate (DRE). Assisting with all year-end processes, including the preparation of 1099 forms. Maintaining accurate owner/tenant ledgers and security deposit records. Understanding and assisting with HOA/association accounting when applicable. Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on accounting management experience, with at least 2 years specifically in property management accounting. Proven, hands-on experience with trust accounting, including managing owner funds, tenant deposits, and performing complex reconciliations. Required proficiency in property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, or Buildium. Strong familiarity and working knowledge of California Department of Real Estate (DRE) trust fund rules (required). Comfortable and proficient using Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace. Must be highly detail-oriented, accurate, and organized. Excellent communication skills required to interact effectively with property managers, owners, tenants, and vendors. Must possess a valid Driver's License.
