Your Part‑Time Controller, LLC

to lead nonprofit financial teams. We are a nationally recognized accounting firm known for innovation, growth, and a people‑focused culture.

Overview As an outsourced Controller/CFO, you will guide multiple nonprofit clients, provide financial reporting, recommend process improvements, and support audit and grant management. You will work with boards, finance committees, and client staff both virtually and on‑site.

Responsibilities

Transform nonprofit client financial departments to support their mission.

Lead financial reporting for management and board decision‑making, including presentations.

Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance policies and procedures.

Perform transactional activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain workpapers.

Analyze data, create visualizations, and build budgeting and forecasting models.

Manage grant allocations and funder reporting.

Prepare for and manage the annual audit.

Provide training opportunities for clients and client staff.

Qualifications

Passionate about working in or supporting nonprofit organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5‑7+ years of accounting experience.

Experience working remotely preferred.

Ability to manage multiple clients, work independently, and respond on a timely basis.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with multiple general ledger packages, especially QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems.

Non‑profit accounting, public accounting experience, or consulting experience a plus but not required.

CPA certification a plus.

Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Benefits

Competitive compensation: starting base salary $90,000 – $120,000 for a 35‑hour work week; total compensation may increase with overtime and bonuses.
