RCM Department Overview: The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) department helps doctors get paid for their services. From clearinghouse enrollments, and patient accounts, to insurance claims, our RCM team members help practices grow and succeed financially. The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for managing insurance AR portfolios for multiple billing company clients. A successful candidate will be flexible and can multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. In this position, representatives are responsible but not limited to the following: Responsibilities Review and research insurance denials received through insurance remittances, payor correspondence, or Clearinghouse rejections in an accurate and timely manner. Provide timely and efficient follow-up on all outstanding AR using assigned ATB worklist reports, using various systems including Payor portals, phone inquiries, and/or written communications. Appropriately respond to payor denials through written/verbal appeals processes, corrected/voided claims, and/or any other payor-specific denial process. Appropriately document the status of assigned inventory using a common set of follow-up codes within assigned worklist spreadsheets and within CTProbill with follow-up dates assigned. Ensure clear and concise documentation of all account actions within the client software database. Ensure timely communication of denials or payor trends that require the client's knowledge and/or actions. Ensure updates are made within the system to correct billing errors, along with rebilling corrected claims to each payor. Identify and report payor trends that may have negative implications timely to both clients and management. Work collaboratively with other RCM departments (Billing, Posting, Customer Service) to ensure overall account accuracy and issue resolutions are completed. Effectively communicate payor billing guidelines to clients and other staff in a timely manner. Demonstrate a high level of professional integrity when communicating with payors, clients, and other staff. Swiftly escalate to clients and/or management issues that negatively affect accounts receivable. Consistently meets and/or exceeds client AR objectives in each outstanding aging category (30,60,90+). Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of high-volume insurance follow-up experience. Thorough knowledge of Commercial, Government, Workers’ Comp, and Auto payor processes. Ability to follow up on a minimum of 45 outstanding claims and/or dates of service per day. Experience working with multiple clearinghouses. Exceptional understanding of payor-specific billing guidelines. Working knowledge of multiple payor portals. Knowledge of Chiropractic Billing and Chiropractic Software is a definite plus. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and deal with high-volume insurance claim follow-up. Strong typing skills and experience with office productivity tools such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. This is a Hybrid work opportunity. At Integrated Practice Solutions, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $31,150-$64,650 for this position.
