Payments & Card Services Specialist
Location: 11149 Research Blvd, Austin, Tx 78759 | Employment Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-4:30pm The Payment & Card Services Specialist ensures the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial transaction processing across ACH, wire, check, and card platforms. This role serves as a liaison between internal teams and members, delivering exceptional service while performing reconciliation and reporting duties. What You’ll Do
Balance daily transactions and clearing accounts (e.g., teller, card settlements, tax deposits) Process ACH, wire transfers, chargeback checks, collection items, and stop payments Support ACH, Share Draft, and Wire Services through balancing, file processing, and auditing Assist with card services functions including settlements, disputes, and backup coverage Research and resolve member inquiries regarding account activity, check copies, and statements Resolve clearing discrepancies and collect on incoming/outgoing items Balance general ledger accounts and ensure accurate accounting data entry Provide professional support to members and internal departments via phone, email, and IM Collaborate on projects, audits, and subpoena requests Assist with ATM reconciliation and vendor coordination for ATM fleet maintenance Process debit card maintenance and support VISA fraud and dispute claims Perform other duties as assigned to support department objectives What You Bring
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 2+ years experience in financial operations, payment processing, or card services in a credit union, bank, or financial institution Proven ability to balance high-volume transaction data and resolve discrepancies Strong communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial/accounting systems What We Offer
