Data Collector - School of Public Health
We are hiring immediately for a Data Collector to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Houston, TX. The Green2Grown Project is looking for individuals who have a passion to improve sexual and reproductive health outcomes, promote positive youth development, and advance health education for adolescents, their families, and communities. Data Collectors will implement evidence-based programming within the public housing communities, juvenile justice agencies, education institutions, clinics, and other community settings among youth aged 10-21 across Harris County, Texas. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Responsibilities
Facilitates evidence-based programming sessions to study participants. Interviews and establishes rapport with study participants to encourage complete accurate responses and continuing participation. Works in the field going to homes, places of business, or specified exercise areas. Receives educational materials and equipment training. Decides methods of tracing participants and conducts interviews while coding information. Conducts intervention with research subjects and refers to appropriate physician or healthcare practitioner. Codes and edits information for research projects for entry into database. Handles administrative details such as time and effort reports and mileage reports. Qualifications
High School diploma. Minimum two years related experience with emphasis on public contact (equivalent education may substitute). Bilingual Spanish preferred. Benefits
