Controller – West Side NYC
A well-known Entertainment/Real-Estate group that operates and manages one of NYC’s most iconic attractions is seeking a Controller to join their growing team! The Controller will oversee general accounting, internal management reporting, and audits. This role ensures accurate accounting of business activities, reviews monthly financial work, and collaborates with internal teams including operations, IT, sales, marketing, and finance. The Controller will work closely with senior leadership to produce high-quality reports used in consolidated financial analysis and forecasting.
This opportunity will offer up to $185,000 on a base + a bonus and a 4 days onsite work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the accounting team to drive performance. Review monthly financial reports and provide accounting guidance, particularly in ticket revenue, retail inventory, food & beverage, and third-party contracts. Analyze balance sheet and income statement variances against prior periods and budgets. Support the selection and implementation of key reporting systems. Assist in consolidating financial results across business lines. Recommend improvements to financial processes and internal controls. Collaborate on operational metrics with business and senior teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred). 8+ years of experience, ideally in events, retail, or ticketed venues. Strong organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills. Effective communicator with ability to present to senior leadership. Experience with JD Edwards, Hubble, and Ventrata- ticketing is a plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
