Currently we are searching for a Billing & Collections Specialist to fill an immediate permanent need with an exceptional client based in Middle Tennessee operating on a REMOTE schedule. Candidates can live in these states: TN, TX, GA, KY, VA, MS. Must be able to pass a drug and background screen.
Responsibilities
Identify, investigate, and resolve unpaid claims. Utilize payor portals to follow up on submitted claims. Call insurance companies when claims are denied. Work with commercial/government payers. Research denials and rejections as well as payor policies. Submit claims reconsiderations and appeals. Document account activity. Manage medical records requests. Track and trend payor issues. Collaborate with Billing, Cash Posting, Contracting and Intake on issues affecting account resolution. Follow up with patients on outstanding account balances which include unapplied cash. Other duties as assigned, including backlogged claims. Qualifications
3 years of insurance collections with proven results in a metrics-driven environment Excel experience, data entry, filter and sort using spreadsheets Ability to work autonomously from home How to apply
