Job Description This position provides licensed financial and non-financial support to Ascend National Wealth Advisors and will serve as a resource to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Financial Advisors. Individuals in this position will focus on securities and investment advisory products, as well as fixed and variable life, health, and annuities products. The Associate Advisor will work with Financial Advisors to serve the financial and non-financial needs of clients and their families. Responsibilities include developing and implementing business and marketing plans, prospecting, marketing, case and proposal preparation, referral generation, and community building with clients and prospects. The Associate Advisor reports to and is employed or contracted by the Lead Advisor. Thrivent Investment Management Inc. sponsors FINRA registration, and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans sponsors insurance licensure.

Responsibilities

Handle sensitive communications with members/customers, including highly confidential information, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Facilitate and/or co-present product-specific seminars and workshops as needed.

Participate in business planning for the Practice as needed.

Counsel and advise members/customers on suitable financial products and investment advisory services.

Open and complete product applications.

Conduct research or gather information for securities product recommendations or investment advice.

Obtain member/customer financial and/or suitability information.

Accept and process securities trade orders from customers, including unsolicited orders.

Explain, discuss, or interpret insurance coverage; analyze exposures or policies; provide recommendations.

Issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, commitments, or insurance contracts.

Assist financial representatives in preparing and following up on member/customer meetings.

Collaborate with financial representatives to assist clients with product changes.

Participate in marketing activities such as direct mail, fraternal activities, seminars, and meetings.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on licensure and business needs.

Participate in client meetings held by other advisors as directed.

Work with CSA to send paperwork for client signature and follow-up as needed.

Submit applications requiring client meetings for completion.

Complete redemptions, purchases, exchanges, fund transfers, and other financial requests.

Send follow-up emails and action items post-meetings.

Monitor pending recommendations to ensure task completion.

Make follow-up calls requiring licensing as requested.

Respond to client emails or calls, assessing needs and facilitating communication with the planning team or lead advisor.

Make calls to request rollovers and transfers of retirement accounts.

Document all client interactions in Salesforce.

Qualifications

Securities registered (Series 7 & 66 or 6 & 63).

WA State Life and Health insurance licensing.

3+ years of customer service experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of business technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, and DocuSign, or the ability to learn.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Desire to support peers and work collaboratively.

Compensation Base salary ranges from $70,000 to $105,000, depending on experience, with additional performance-based incentives.

Additional Information A background verification, including fingerprints, will be required as part of the hiring process, in accordance with FINRA registration requirements.
