Posting Summary: The Office of the Controller at Teachers College, Columbia University is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst to provide administrative support on key financial systems, including Ellucian Banner Finance, Chrome River expense reimbursement and Unimarket eProcurement solutions. This position is also responsible for processing daily and monthly uploads as part of the month-end process. Job Summary/Basic Function: The Financial Systems Analyst is part of a three-person team which serves as a liaison between the Controller and Budget & Planning departments, and the Teachers College Information Technology (TCIT) office, for multiple financial systems that store and process financial data. Reporting to the Assistant Manager for Financial Systems, the Financial Systems Analyst will provide customer support to financial systems end users and assist with various operational tasks, including maintaining systems. The Financial Systems Analyst will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data entry to various financial systems and contributing to the department’s long-term goals and vision by demonstrating professionalism and excellence in pursuit of best-in-class customer service and execution.

Financial Systems Customer Support: Update the delegation of authority, including routing rules for purchasing, expense reimbursement and budget approval levels within Banner Finance, Chrome River and Unimarket eProcurement solutions system Process ad-hoc and month-end financial system uploads Support financial system end users, including granting users access to departmental budgets; monitoring weekly payroll-finance interfaces; serving as a liaison between users and TCIT; and troubleshooting system errors Assist with the training of end users on financial systems, including the development and maintenance of training materials. Financial Systems Operations Maintain chart of accounts in Banner Finance Assist with monthly and year-end financial system closings Provide support and update the Controller's Office website Assist with various financial system projects and initiatives Participate in financial systems testing for new patch releases, updates to modules and third-party system integrations Participate in cross-functional Human Resources, Payroll and TCIT team meetings Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science or a related field Minimum 2 years' experience working with financial or accounting systems Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning systems Functional and general understanding of financial operations, including General Ledger, Human Resources/Payroll, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Accounts Receivable Strong interpersonal and written communication skills Proficient with PCs and spreadsheet applications. Preferred Qualifications: Understanding of Linux, Oracle SQL and information systems Experience with Banner (Ellucian) ERP software, Unimarket eProcurement solutions, or Chrome River expense management software. Salary Range: $72,500 - $82,500 Competitive Compensation and Benefits The salary range reflects the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting.
