Senior Construction Modeler
guides a team of construction modelers and checkers to complete designated areas of work. The Senior Construction Modeler is ultimately accountable for owning and controlling a model. Core Responsibilities Prepare models, detail drawings, and assembly drawings using CAD software. Ensure detailing is completed in line with DBM Vircon policies and processes. Interpret and utilize client-supplied information. Manage project and job setup. Identify and issue Technical Queries and Requests for Information. Initiate and oversee Change Orders. Collaborate with Project Coordinators and Project Managers. Produce models and drawings in consultation with engineers. Perform back drafting and incorporate approved changes. Conduct clash and interface checking. Complete necessary checklists. Manage project schedules and delivery dates. Maintain and improve technical and professional abilities. Work Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in detailing and construction modeling. Experience with steel detailing and construction drawings. Experience working collaboratively with project teams. Education/Training Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/training in a relevant technical field. Extensive industry experience combined with training certification. Software & Technology Relevant CAD software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCad, ProSteel). Expert proficiency in Tekla Structures. Microsoft Office software. Ability to learn new software quickly.
