The Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (Pozez JCC), located in Fairfax, Virginia, is a nonprofit, social service organization that builds community and enriches lives. Summary of Position The Pozez Jewish Community Center seeks a dynamic, flexible teacher to join our educational team for our year-round, full-day early childhood center for infants through Pre-K at the Pozez JCC's Early Childhood Learning Center. The ECLC is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and our staff co-teach in a professional, collaborative, Jewish environment.
Qualifications
All applicants must have experience working with young children
Must be organized and have excellent writing skills
Must have a good understanding of digital and media languages
Must have experience working with young children in an early childhood setting
Essential Position Duties
Have an understanding of individual schedules/needs for infant caregiving routines
Team Player
Nurturing and present with the children throughout the day
Understanding or willing to learn infant/toddler development as well as the RIE philosophy in regard to caring for infants in a Reggio Emilia inspired setting
Allows infants to be active participants in daily caregiving routines
Hours Monday-Friday 7:45am-5:15pm (depending on shift-8 hour work day); hours outside of the regular work day may be applicable for some tasks of this position
Compensation and Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience.
