Overview

Over the past 20 years, Amazon has reinvented on behalf of customers and has become the largest internet retailer and marketplace in the world. NOC (Network Operation Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across Amazon's transportation network. It ensures timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. NOC resolves exceptions and keeps stakeholders informed, while also analyzing network data to identify trends and propose process improvements to streamline operations. NOC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation and thereby supports Amazon’s ability to serve customers on time. Within NOC’s umbrella, there is a specific arm that manages inbound scheduling, Missing from inbound (MFI), third-party (3P) pickups, vendor returns, and invoice scanning operations across multiple regions including IN, AMET, AU, JP, SG, BR, MX, and ECCF countries.

Responsibilities

A Transportation Specialist inbound at NOC facilitates the flow of information between Vendors/Sellers/Inbound Supply chain/category managers/Fulfillment centers and resolves issues affecting vendor/seller experience and business continuity.

Coordinate inbound operations, including appointment scheduling at Fulfillment centers requested by vendors/sellers/carriers, ensuring trucks reach the FC per schedule.

Address potential issues during the lifecycle of freight placement and unloading at FCs; provide timely resolution by researching internal tools and making real-time decisions.

Analyze requirements, identify data trends, and drive vendor/seller experience improvements without compromising on time; communicate clearly in written and verbal form.

Ideate and drive process improvements related to inbound operations and logistics.

Qualifications

Graduation in any specialization from a recognized university.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English; ability to communicate clearly with all customers.

Good comprehension skills and the ability to understand logistics concepts; ability to analyze data and notice trends.

Ability to work with internal tools and to drive customer/vendor experience improvements with timely decisions.

Willingness to ideate and implement process improvements for inbound operations.

Basic understanding of Logistics and strong written and verbal communication abilities.

About the team NOC Inbound Team manages and owns the end-to-end execution of the vendor’s/seller’s shipment inbounding process. This includes appointment scheduling and prioritization, appointment sidelining and rescue, appointment modification, and related tasks across IN and ECCF countries.
