Duties & Responsibilities
Under supervision from senior level researcher, prepare animal model experiments including assessing animal behavior, performing surgeries, tissue harvest, pathology and molecular analysis.
Participate and observe in cell experiments including cell culture, PCR, western blot, transfection, and transduction.
Assist senior researchers with data analysis after collecting data from performed experiments including recording data, compiling basic notes from experiment outcomes, and observing the use of Prism and MS Excel.
Assist team with general lab maintenance such as cleaning lab, filling records, order/receiving lab supplies, as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Basic knowledge of laboratory research.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to analyze research results.
Ability to report results to the PI and in laboratory meetings.
Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner orally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in biomedical related disciplines.
One year laboratory research or animal experience in related field.
Experience in Prism and MS Excel.
