What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Assist with the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of websites and applications for the employer's Office of Human Resources
Utilize development best practices to ensure code meets accessibility requirements
Maintain consistency with existing codebases and visual/editorial guidelines
Create and maintain documentation to support internal development workflows and processes
Participate in team-building activities and promote a respectful workplace
What is Required (Qualifications):
Access to reliable internet service
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
Ability to work independently for extended periods
Minimum of 8 hours per week availability during the academic year
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Working knowledge of modern web standards, including accessibility and responsive design
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Angular)
Familiarity with PHP/MySQL and WordPress or other content management systems
Ability to write and read technical documentation
Understanding of JSON and consuming data from an API
