This role gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications to ensure IT solutions support business objectives. This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence up to 50% in Edison, NJ or at other Hackensack Meridian Health locations as needed. Responsibilities
Share knowledge with and mentor Applications Analyst I. Install/upgrade applications and components, configure settings, and validate work performed by Applications Analyst I. Coordinate end-user support activities. Attend and contribute to meetings across the facility. Provide go-live support for new applications, modules, and functionality. Analyze necessary application modifications and coordinate with IT staff and vendors. Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements; interpret end-user requirements and guide client toward optimal solutions. Evaluate operational workflows and create system specifications from user requirements. Develop test plans and test new systems, upgrades, and modifications; document testing outcomes and ensure consistency. Lead or participate in application implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. Present oral and written updates to project teams and other departments. Handle moderately complex issues; refer more complex issues to higher-level staff. Update system, operational, and department documentation; identify areas for process improvements. Provide on-call support for applications. Perform other related duties as needed. Lift at least 20 lbs., push/pull 20 lbs., and stand for at least 4 hours per day. Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years IT experience, preferably in healthcare, or 2 years IT experience with 2 years clinical experience. Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong desktop skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook). Effective verbal and written communication; ability to create clear, concise documentation. Collaborative and self-directed with strong time management. Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Bachelor’s degree. Licenses And Certifications: Epic and/or other relevant certifications or equivalent experience in relevant applications.
