The main function of an Instrument Technician is to repair, test, adjust, or install electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.
Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required 0-2 years of experience required Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability Team player and detail oriented Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees.
