Job Overview
Data Migration Lead
– Remote, U.S. Eastern time zone. Collaborate with federal clients on large‑scale data migrations, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with FISMA, NIST, and privacy regulations. Responsibilities
Plan, design, and execute migration strategies from legacy systems to on‑premise, cloud, or hybrid platforms. Analyze legacy data structures and perform data mapping and transformation based on target system requirements. Develop and implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes. Create detailed migration documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and test plans. Troubleshoot migration issues and minimize disruption to business operations. Provide status reports, progress updates, and post‑migration audits and validations. Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card required; must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work in the U.S. Minimum 8+ years leading enterprise migrations across ≥3 data sources with financial reconciliation, metadata/lineage tooling, and privacy/records experience. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 8+ years of experience with enterprise migrations, database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL), ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS), and scripting (Python, SQL). Public trust clearance required; must meet federal contract security requirements. Preferred Master’s degree; experience migrating to/from cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
