Job Overview
Data Center Cable Technician position in Hillsboro, OR. Full‑time, onsite. Pay range $18.00 – $21.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Build and install data center cabling, cable dressing, basket tray installation, ladder rack fiber runner containment and trunk.
Install, pull, and decommission low voltage network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
Pull all types of low voltage cable including copper telecom, fiber, cat5/6, coax, and more.
Install OSP/ISP cables through conduits and maintenance.
Cut and install threaded rod, uni‑strut, fiber trough, and affix bar coding to equipment and free printed label.
Read and comprehend blueprints, building documentation, and redline work.
Physical work: up and down ladders, assemble server cabinets, and cabling.
Qualifications
Strong work ethic; physical stamina for ladder work and cabinet assembly.
Willing to train candidates with no cabling experience eager to learn the trade.
Preferred: cabling experience (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, punch downs); no license required.
Data center or construction site experience is a plus.
