Senior AI/ML Data Engineer – EMEA This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior AI/ML Data Engineer in EMEA. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the foundation of a fast-growing SaaS company's data and AI capabilities. As part of a highly collaborative AI team, you'll design and maintain data pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval systems that power innovative, customer-facing AI features. You'll work closely with cross‑functional product and platform teams to integrate intelligent systems that enhance user experience and business performance. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a transformative product ecosystem, in a fully remote and global work environment. Accountabilities

Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to support AI‑driven product features Design and optimize embeddings, vector databases, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems Experiment with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex to enable next‑generation AI applications Collaborate with product and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and performance across systems Establish and uphold best practices for data quality, observability, and reliability in AI workflows Contribute to the deployment and monitoring of Python‑based AI services in production environments Requirements

5+ years of experience in data or backend engineering, preferably within SaaS environments Strong proficiency in Python (FastAPI, Pandas, and optionally PyTorch or TensorFlow) Expertise in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases Experience working with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS Familiarity with RAG systems and AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain) Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust data solutions Bonus: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster) Benefits
