Operational Analyst Technical SME IAMD (SWTD) - Senior

Description : Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Senior-Level Operational Analyst Technical Subject Matter Expert to provide comprehensive analytical support for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) operations through the Surface Warfare Tactics Development (SWTD) program. Primary Location : Dahlgren, VA (or as specified by contract requirements) Clearance : Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI Ability to work remotely : No (Due to clearance requirements and technical analysis environment) Job Summary : The successful candidate will serve as a technical SME for new and emerging Navy/Joint warfare concepts, conduct research and evaluation of C5I and weapons systems, and provide critical analysis of combat system performance across multiple warfare domains. Responsibilities : Review and provide recommendations on content and presentation for new/emerging Navy/Joint warfare system concepts, tactics, techniques, and procedures publications Conduct research and evaluation to support development of C5I, weapons, and surveillance system capabilities Make presentations and write technical reports and papers describing objectives, procedures, and results of studies, analyses, experiments, and investigations Monitor and assess performance of combat, weapons, and surveillance systems Validate and document that emerging technologies and combat systems components will close identified lethality gaps across SWTD assigned warfare areas Identify, document, and present issues related to command and control between fleet units, systems, and sub-systems Collect, analyze, and interpret operational, tactical, and system data from fleet units Support rapid capability development processes for emerging warfare technologies and systems Collaborate on Navy technical documentation review and development across multiple warfare domains Apply DOTMLPF process understanding to system development and capability analysis Support Navy Test & Evaluation (T&E) processes for new and emerging combat systems Provide technical expertise for combat systems integration and interoperability assessments Conduct lethality gap analysis and recommend technical solutions across warfare areas Required Qualifications : Current Security Clearance of SECRET and TS/SCI eligible Minimum of 12 years of military experience and/or relevant industry/government experience with surface navy's combat systems, C5I, networks, weapons systems, and IAMD planning tools/systems Five (5) years of experience aboard Navy cruisers, destroyers, frigates, or within qualified Department of Defense warfare areas Qualified and experienced in watch stations with authority to employ Aegis Weapon System Possess Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter Experience in Navy Combat Systems development Experience in Rapid Capability Development process Experience in review and collaboration on Navy Technical Documentation Understanding of DOTMLPF process Experience and understanding of Navy Test & Evaluation (T&E) process Strong analytical and technical writing skills for reports and presentations Knowledge of emerging warfare technologies and system integration processes Experience with data analysis and interpretation from operational environments Understanding of combat systems performance evaluation methodologies Familiarity with RDT&E processes and evaluation criteria Physical Requirements And Work Environment : Ability to work in technical analysis environments with classified computer systems and secure facilities Must be able to handle classified materials in accordance with security protocols May require extended periods of technical analysis and computer-based research Work environment includes collaboration with technical development teams and operational units Ability to present complex technical analysis to senior military and civilian leadership Travel : Regular travel required to fleet units, test facilities, and combat systems development locations Obsidian Solutions Group is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, protected veteran status, and any other non-merit factor, or any other characteristic protected by law.
